CAA Approved Accountants For ATOL & ABTA Travel Companies
The ATOL renewal process can quickly become a stressful and daunting experience for any business owner. For this reason, we’ve set up ARA accounting services right here at Taxcare Accountancy to ensure that we can efficiently prepare for and help you with your ATOL renewal.
What is ATOL by CAA (Civil Aviation Authority)?
If you’re working inside the travel sector, chances are you’ll know travel companies that are registered with ATOL are subject to intensive accounts reporting and auditing in order to fulfil their statutory and legal obligations.
Who do we work with?
Our expert and friendly team here at Taxcare Accountancy works with businesses of all sizes that need an ATOL. Whether you’re working with 100 customers, 1,000, or even 10,000, our professional and friendly team knows about everything ATOL-related. Combine this with our industry experience, high-quality service, and brilliant communication skills, we’re confident that you’ll have a hassle-free and stress-free ATOL renewal experience.
Our commitment to you
Our commitment to you is that we’ll ensure all the information we’ve submitted to the Civil Aviation Authority is up-to-date and accurate. We do this by working very closely with all our clients to ensure that we understand the ways in which their business functions and all their in-house procedures too. Here at Taxcare Accountancy, we want to make the renewal as time-effective and cost-effective as possible. We do this by ensuring all financial statements are completed without delay, supporting cash-flow forecasting, and giving you as the business owner sufficient time to complete your application.
1. Who can sign ATOL accountants’ reports?
The CAA introduced the ARA scheme in order to improve the ways in which we report on ATOL holders. So, since 2016, only a designated and registered ARA who works with a registered firm can sign ATOL reports.
2. Who appoints an ARA accountant?
A company can select an ARA accountant who they believe has sound knowledge of and understands the expectations of the CAA. The ATOL accountancy bylaws are in place to protect ATOL companies and their clients.
3. What is the CAA’s eligibility criteria?
The member of the organisation must be able to highlight that:
- They’ve sat and passed a professional exam that covers work approved by the CAA.
- They have Professional Indemnity Insurance.
- The primary function of their accountancy firm is to provide accountancy services.
- They are independent of the ATOL travel company.
- They follow and stick to the IFAC’s code of ethics.
- They’ve assigned a contact principal.
- The selected member will need to undertake CPD and additional training.
